I decided last year to run this race for Cancer Research with my mate Aiden (who is running for Christies), I then roped in my husband who had no idea :)

Like so many people, its devastating to get that call to tell you someone you love has cancer. Last December, after entering this race, I got such a call to let me know my dad has 2 forms of cancer. He is currently undergoing Chemo and doing well. It won't be cured but managed. this wouldn't have been possible without years of research that requires much needed funding.

So this race, my husband Shan and I are dedicating it to my Dad and anyone else affected by Cancer.

The lateness of this post is that I didn't think I would do it.....my dad has cancer...he gets through every day...whats 26.2miles! Toenails are overrated anyway lol
