On Sunday 27th April 2025 I will be running the TCS London Marathon, raising funds for the incredible St. Wilfrid’s hospice, in memory of my darling daughter Shauna.

Shauna was unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal cancer in December 2018, & then spent some time as an in-patient at the wonderful St Wilfrid’s hospice, where we spent our last Christmas together as a family.

After months of appointments & extended stays in London hospitals, having various procedures, Shauna made the decision that she wanted to spend her final weeks at home. The wonderful team at St Wilfrid’s hospice came to our rescue again, and Shauna was helped by the care at home team, until devastatingly, she died in July 2019, just weeks before her 21st birthday.

I will be eternally grateful for the incredible care, support, compassion & kindness that Shauna & all our family received from the team at St Wilfrid’s.

I could never repay them for everything they did for us all, but I hope running 26.2 miles across London & raising much needed funds so they can continue helping many other patients and families is a good way to try!
