This August Theo will be embarking on a challenge of a life time with his team, Beech Hall Mencap Marvels Swim Squad. Together they will relay across the English Chanel all in aid of raising funds for Mencap. They have been through some rigorous training which is only being ramped up the closer we get to the swim date. They have faced many challenges and fears and completely smashed through each one. The latest was the qualifying to swim the Chanel, this being a 2 hour continuous swim in 13.7 degree water in Dover. Swimming in waters known for jelly fish to experience what this feels like and how we can challenge the mind to overcome barriers this may place in their way. Over winter we embarked and embraced Ice swims to prepare the body for less warm water.

On the 17th June the team will be doing the Chanel up North at Boundary. Swimming the equivalent to the Chanel over night in relay to prepare for the main event.

Theo has already made many sacrifices, faced many fears to ensure he can complete the challenge with his squad.
