Story
In the season of gratitude, thanksgiving, and community, I can't help but reflect on life and the things that matter the most to us. For Mark and I, it's family and friends. I keep thinking of how Thanksgiving has changed drastically in the last four years because we lost a very close family friend of our who was deeply passionate about Thanksgiving and bringing people together. Cancer is what caused this tradition to come to an abrupt halt.
We have had many loved ones journey through a tough cancer diagnosis. And unfortunately, we have also lost many loved ones as a result of cancer.
Cancer has impacted us in many unexpected ways as it has many of us I'm sure. Cancer is absolutely gut-wrenching regardless of WHO it impacts...but what I can't imagine is a child having to go through this - yet there are thousands of children who have to navigate a cancer diagnosis every single day.
By contributing to the pediatric cancer care initiatives at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. LLUCH has been at the forefront of pediatric cancer care, particularly for leukemia and other childhood cancers, and together for decades. Through your support, we can improve access to the most advanced, life-saving treatments for children in our community facing cancer diagnoses.
Join us in this vital mission to support young patients and their families during their most challenging times.
Thank you for considering joining our efforts this GivingTuesday!
With Love and Gratitude,
Rathyna + Mark
