Story
A parent of children under 18 dies every 22 minutes in the UK; around 23,600 deaths a year. This equates to around 111 children being bereaved of a parent every day. Jigsaw (South East) supports bereaved children and young people and those with a family member with a terminal condition through our grief support and preparing for loss services, working across Surrey and nearby areas of East and West Sussex and Kent. Their vision is that children and young people will not be alone on their bereavement journey.
Our baby, ‘Charlie’, Lucas’ twin, died before we could meet him. Jigsaw helped us work this loss when it surfaced many years later. They help many, many other families too, families who are going through the worst of times.
And so it is fitting that we are doing this event as a family to raise money for Jigsaw to say Thank You.
If you can spare anything, however small, as a donation we will do at least 5 more push ups each, in the mud, as we go round the Commando course 🤪💪
thank you 🙏
