Story
Hi everyone --
So last year, with your incredible support, my BOWL FOR UKRAINE raised over £250,000 for Save The Children's Ukraine Appeal. Thank you all so much.
Recently I visited an amazing school in Poland to see how the money we raised is helping kids whose lives have been turned upside down by the war. I was really moved by the difference our support had made and really struck by the fact that these kids were no different to me and my friends.
So I've decided I want to do another fundraiser!
The thing is there are kids all over the world, not just Ukraine, that really need our help so, this year, I want to raise the money for Save The Children's Emergency Fund. This means that kids and their families can get the help they need straight away when there's a crisis.
Some of the money will continue to go to supporting Ukraine, but the war has also increased hunger in other parts of the world and places like Yemen and Syria are really struggling. What's more kids in East Africa are facing one of the worst famines in 40yrs.
I know things are pretty tough at the moment with the cost of living crisis (Mum and Dad are always going on at me about switching the lights off!) but it just seems to me that we've all still got to try and do something to make the world a better place.
So please donate if you can. As I know first hand EVERY PENNY COUNTS. And of course do keep spreading the word to anyone you know.
I'll keep posting on my Instagram - www.instagram.com/clarkie_woodwork - where you'll be able to see me making THE HOPE BOWL and I'll also keep you keep up-to-date with how the fundraiser is going.
Dad will also be doing his Twitter thing - @rclarkie
Thank you all so much! You're just the best!
And have a really HAPPY EASTER
Gabriel
Dad here with the boring stuff -
PLEASE NOTE - that the winner of Gabriel's HOPE BOWL will be drawn at random after his fundraiser closes. When Just Giving gives the option you will need to agree to providing your name and a way of contacting you. If you donate annonymously I won't be able to track you down!!
(Also for legal reasons, because this has to technically be a Free Prize Draw for the gaming commission, I have to let you know that you can enter the draw without giving a donation. Obviously it rather goes against the spirit of things but if you do want to enter without donating please send your contact details to the following email address: thehopebowl@gmail.com )
