Story
Myself, Iain, Alex and Greg have decided to commit to 31 days of dipping in January! And despite the fact we regularly embrace the cold British waters, our commitment isn't quite at everyday, so this will certainly be a challenge!
We are raising money for the incredible charity MyTime Young Carers, and would love for you to support them by donating to this great cause. Every little helps! Take a read below to hear more about the amazing work MyTime do, and keep an eye on all of our socials to see how we are getting on with the challenge!
'Young carers work incredibly hard to take care of their loved ones. This could involve daily household tasks, mental health support, helping a loved one get showered and/or dressed and much much more. It is a 24/7 responsibility and on top of that they go to school, college, university or work. It's just their way of life. This can ultimately lead to them facing significant disadvantage as a result and MYTIME Young Carers don't think that's right or fair. They work hard to level the playing field for these incredible young people and that is why I am going to Brave the Wave this January. That means I will be enduring the huge challenge of getting in the sea every day in January to help raise vital funds and awareness for young carers. Cold water immersion is known to have significant positive mental health effects, which is something young carers often struggle with due to their responsibilities so please donate and help support young carers in Dorset and beyond. Thank you!'
