Story
In 2021, we launched rowing as an inclusive core curriculum sport at Wychwood school. To celebrate, we took part in the Big Row with all pupils rowing as far as they could on ergs over the course of a week. Three years on, we are now gearing up for The Big Row 2024, where our pupils will be embarking on a multi-day row from Henley to Oxford, contributing towards the epic challenge of rowing from Paris to LA, covering a total distance of 15,241km. They will navigate several locks along the River Thames as they row upstream back to Oxford, showcasing their determination and teamwork. Prior to taking to the water, pupils will also row as far as they can on ergs during their PE lessons. At Wychwood school, we believe that rowing should be accessible to all, and that's why we are raising funds for Love Rowing. Our goal is to enable more people to access the transformative power that rowing can have.
We are thrilled to be participating in The Big Row 2024 and are seeking your support in reaching our fundraising target of £750. Your contribution will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that more individuals have the opportunity to experience the benefits of rowing.
Join us in making a positive impact through The Big Row 2024!
Thank you to Hinksey Sculling School who facilitate and support our rowing programme.
