Story
On 22nd May 2024 myself David Scott, my son Louis and 3 other life long friends are heading into the remote Highlands of Scotland for 5 nights, to walk 100km, catch 100 fish, from 100 lochs/rivers and sleep under the stars with the midges to raise money for Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) a rare and incurable lung disease which only affects around 350 women in the UK one of whom is my wife, and Louis mother, Alison Craig.
It is a devastating disease.
There is no cure.
LAM is a condition where there is an ever increasing proliferation of cysts on the lungs which can result in the need for a lung transplant.
Being such a rare condition, funding research for a cure and treatment is very hard to find.
BUT there is one man who has made it his life's work to study the condition determined to find a way to manage and cure it. His name is Professor Simon Johnson from Nottingham University Hospital and every penny we raise will go directly to the Professor.
Please read more about it here (https://lamaction.org/about-lam/)
So off we go....5 men, David Howie Scott, Louis Scott, Ali Fraser, Angus Forbes and James Marchant-Wink
100 km
100 fish
100 lochs/rivers
5 nights.
We will sustain ourselves by eating some of catch, the rest will be released.
Your donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated and make a meaningful impact in our fight against Lymphangioleomyomatosis (LAM).
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Tight lines!
David.
