Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've decided to raffle a piece of artwork to help Cancer Research. 1 in 2 people will get Cancer in their lifetime, therefore it effects all of us, whether we personally get it or not. My dad and nan got skin cancer, my boyfriend got prostate cancer, my aunt got a rare form of cancer in her leg, and I had part of my breast removed due to suspected breast cancer.

Due to the fantastic job that cancer research does, we were all lucky enough to survive. Yet, although we all go through these scares, whether personally or with a loved one, the psychological stress they cause can make us feel very alone, because a lot of the time, no matter how worried we may feel, we don't want to worry others, so we keep our true feelings inside.

Therefore, I painted this picture, which you can find in the comments below, of a person sat on a beach, lost in their thoughts, as they watch the sun set over the sea, with a dog by their side. I have called it "You are never alone" (acrylic on canvas board - 40x50cm), because you are never alone, especially when you have a dog as a confidant :)
