The Pedalling Pensioners raising funds for Cyclists Fighting Cancer

The Pedalling Pensioners · 1 May 2025
In an inspiring feat of endurance and determination, four veteran mountain bikers are gearing up to cycle 340 miles and ascend 28,000ft as they cycle off road from The Trossachs to Cape Wrath over the highlands of Scotland in aid of the charity "Cyclists fighting Cancer”.
Since 2005 CFC have helped more than 9,000 children on the path to regaining their physical fitness, strength and confidence by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes and offering specialist activity support during treatment and on into recovery.
Your donations will not only motivate the cyclists but also contribute to a cause that touches countless lives. Please consider donating and join us in cheering on John, Mike, Penny & Tim as they pedal 340 miles and ascend15 mountain passes.
It is not just the miles that make this journey remarkable. With an average age of 72, these cyclists are testaments to resilience and courage. Between them, they sport two artificial hips, one artificial knee, a fused ankle, a rebuilt shoulder, a fused spine, a dropped foot, a stoma bag, and even cancer. Their journey is a powerful statement that age and adversity are no barriers to a physical and mental challenge. Forever young, with each pedal stroke, they hope to inspire others to embrace their own adventures.
