The Ghostbusters @ Burghfield Box Kart Bash 2025

Ben Twomey is raising money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance
Thames Valley Air Ambulance is the only provider of advanced critical care within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Every day, someone in our community could be in urgent need of our service.

Story

After a long break, this raggle-taggle group of area dads are returning to the box kart bash that started it all for us!

Team Ghostbusters consists of:

- Simon Dando

- Alex Greenhalgh

- John Marshall

- Nick Burns

- Paul Cox

- Ryan Heath

- Pete Kelly

- Ben Twomey

After spectacularly failing to make it down Burghfield Hill the first year with our 3-wheeled abomination, the former kayak went through iterations over the years and finished eighth in the last Burghfield Box Kart Bash in 2019.

We haven't let the kart gather dust in Capn Dando's garage since then, though. Oh, no... we've taken her to Cookham Dean, to their Gravity Grand Prix, for the past few years and accepted a prize from none other than Grant Mitchell himself!

This year we're all going to be rocking up as The Ghostbusters, with Ecto 1 being the star of the show.

We're looking forward to bringing the kart back to the hill this year, and we're proudly doing it for Thames Valley Air Ambulance - a cause that's close to our hearts. Please give generously for this life-saving charity that has helped countless people in our region.
