Story
Thank you for visiting the JustGiving page for Keith Prowse and The Experience Golf teams.
Throughout 2023, over 70 colleagues raised over £12,000 install and fully equip a library for this special kindergarten school in Nairobi. Baobab nourishes, through food and education, 90 children, aged between 3-6, all of whom come from the poorest of backgrounds.
As part of our efforts, we completed an all-day golfathon, in nail-bitingly cold conditions on the Duke's Course in St Andrew's. And the London based team completed 25 and 50-mile walks, encompassing the London-based venues in our portfolio. We raised over £8,000 thanks to every single one of you!
"Thank you for the helping hand you have held to us. The library you have built has helped us a lot an we really have discovered more. The books in the library have also helped us to improve our vocabulary. In our country it is very rare to see someone reading books or going to the library."
Now, we're going bigger. In October 2024, we'll be picking up our walking boots and donning our cycle helmets for the Home of Golf Walk and Cycle Relay, connecting some of Scotland’s most prestigious courses: Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Dumbarnie and The Old Course. The relay consists of a North route and a South route, each split into a cycling leg and a walking leg. The North cycle team will pedal from Carnoustie Golf Links to Tayport, and the South cycle team from Dumbarnie Links to Crail. The cyclists will then hand over the baton to the walkers who will continue the journey on foot – both finishing up at The Old Course, St Andrews.
This is part of a bid to raise £10,000 to create The Baobab Football Team, as well as funding The Baobab Feeding Programme - two values that are very close to the hearts of Keith Prowse and The Experience Golf, and two things that every child should experience and have access to. Please sponsor us for our next big challenge!
