About Morgan's Army.
We are a charity dedicated to ensuring families of children diagnosed with cancer in South Wales never fight alone.
We facilitate peer support events for families to interact with those who understand their journey. We offer financial hardship and equipment grants, and provide trips for Sibling to help them cope. We issue funds/grants to projects run by children’s charities in Wales whose services benefit our families.
The Fundraiser:
As a collaboration between the CGC and NSNE, we are gathering a team of fundraisers to walk 10k via local Pokémon Go, Pokestops in our local area. We plan to spin 100 Pokestops over the 10k, meet with other players, trade, take part in raids, battles and just be present in the area.
Each Step we take, and each stop we spin, every raid we get involved with and every battle we have, means someone else is hearing about what Morgan's Army do, provide and support. Cancer affects more people today than ever, and a growing number of these are children and their families. The support they offer is a life line to others, and donations are their lifeline to provide that support. Many like us help raise money every year, and we are asking for your help, to help the Charity continue this amazing work.
So please, if you can only spare £2, that's a bag of sweets for a Sibling who has to watch a brother or sister lay in bed for days at a time having chemotherapy. A drink from the drinks machine for a parent who is spending days at a time at a child's bedside. A magazine for a mum or dad to help them remain sane as they stare at the same four walls for hours on end. It's a little that goes a long away.
Thank You.
