Story

Its Breast Cancer Awareness month and The Busty Movers are on the move again.

Our team invites friends and family to be involved in the challenge to walk 100km for the month, keeping us moving and to raise awareness and funds for such a worthy cause that is so important to us all 💞

HBCF provide practical supportive care services to local Hunter families navigating breast cancer. HBCF have gone from helping 45 families a year to over 250 in the short space of 2 years. With diagnosis numbers increasing in the Hunter and the impact COVID-19 has had on fundraising events, HBCF needs the communities support more than ever. Join our team and help raise money for this wonderful foundation who provide support to so many families affected by this disease

HBCF offers immediate and practical support for local families undergoing treatment for breast and ovarian cancer. Throughout every step of the breast cancer journey, from diagnosis to recovery and beyond, HBCF offer support and services. HBCF is completely funded by the local Newcastle community. Funds raised by the community goes directly into providing on the ground assistance to the 1 in 8 Novocastrians who are diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer each year. Through the generous support of the Hunter, HBCF provides a range of supportive care services including: private transport to medical appointments and surgery, comfort packs, care packages, fresh food deliveries, lawn maintenance and more. Empowerment programs including to support and promote physical and psychological recovery after breast cancer are also available for Hunter families. Through a suite of meditation, mindfulness, fitness, psychology, retreats and support group programs, locals are supported to ensure they get back to living their everyday healthy lives.
