Blackwell Adventure is a charity dedicated to transforming lives through outdoor learning and adventure. At the heart of our work is a simple but powerful belief: that everyone, regardless of background or ability, should have the opportunity to experience the outdoors. This commitment to the charity shapes everything our organisation does, ensuring that inclusion, accessibility, and personal development remain at the core of our mission. The activities offered by Blackwell Adventure are designed not only to be enjoyable, but also to have a lasting impact. From climbing, zip wires to kayaking, bushcraft, and team building. Each experience encourages participants to step outside their comfort zones and discover new strengths. These activities help to develop essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem solving, while also fostering a sense of achievement and self belief. Central to our charity’s ethos is the understanding that outdoor adventure can be life changing. For many individuals, particularly those who have limited access to such opportunities, a visit to Blackwell Adventure can open doors to new possibilities. Blackwell Adventure is far more than an outdoor activity centre. We are a charity with a clear and meaningful purpose: to inspire, support, and empower individuals through adventure. By keeping charity at the heart of our work, we continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Help Blackwell Adventure Make the Outdoors Accessible for Everyone!

At Blackwell Adventure, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience the excitement, challenge, and joy of the great outdoors — regardless of ability. We are passionate about making our activities and environment accessible to all.

That is why we are fundraising to purchase an all-terrain accessible wheelchair, so that children and adults with mobility challenges can fully take part in the adventures we offer. From archery to zip wire, campfire nights to team-building activities and exploring our beautiful grounds, this specialized wheelchair will open up a world of opportunities for everyone.

Why We Need Your Help

Outdoor adventure can be life-changing — it builds confidence, encourages independence, and brings people together. However, uneven terrain and rough paths can make participation difficult for some visitors.

An all-terrain wheelchair would allow us to:

• Make our site fully accessible to visitors with mobility needs.

• Enable inclusive participation in outdoor activities.

• Support schools, charities, and families who visit us throughout the year.

• Show that adventure really is for everyone!

Our Goal

We are aiming to raise £5,600 to purchase a durable, high-quality all-terrain wheelchair that can withstand our wide range of outdoor conditions. Every donation big or small! takes us one step closer to breaking down barriers to adventure.
