Story
After an amazingly courageous 3 and a half year fight with sarcoma, numerous rounds of surgery, radiotherapy and chemo our champion Charlie, my wonderful husband and father to our 3 young boys, hung up his gloves for the last time age 53.
With the compassion and caring of The Royal Marsden, his family by his side, he passed away peacefully on the 2nd August 2023.
Charlie found it very frustrating that so little research was available for his ultra rare form of sarcoma, which meant limited bespoke treatment opportunities. As only Charlie would he decided to set up a focus charity group through Sarcoma UK to fund raise for specific research for Ultra Rare Sarcomas. This is what we are fundraising for with the overall aim of raising £300,000 !
Many wonderful family members and friends have already contributed to this cause with fundraising initiatives, some of us choosing to run The London Marathon!!
Our little Shere team: Nicky, Craig and myself are part of a larger Team Chazza marathon group stretching far and wide including South Africa with the addition of my cousin Tatum joining us in showing our love for Charlie through fundraising efforts!
We would be so grateful if you could donate to our page as, Charlie would say Go Big, knowing that you are contributing to research to help fight this awful disease that can randomly attack anyone regardless of age or lifestyle, Charlie being a fit and healthy 49 yr old when diagnosed, and give them a better chance to beat this cancer!
All our love and thanks,
Thandi, Nicky, Craig and Tatum. Xxx
Thank you for visiting my page.
I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
Thank you for your support.
