The Thakeham team will be walking for Plunkett at our Woodgate development where we have built and gifted to the community a new hub, with Plunkett supported community shop. As a key charity partner of Thakeham we hope to raise as much as possible for this important charity!

Plunkett is a UK-wide charity working with communities who are facing the loss of a vital local facility such as pub, shop, farm or bakery. They support communities to enable them to take the dream of community-ownership and turn it in a thriving community business.

Community businesses do more than just provide a service - they encompass community spirit; they bring work and training opportunities and they're a hub for social interaction to ensure everyone is included and welcome.

By raising funds in support of Plunkett's services, together we'll be helping more communities tackle the issues they face, especially in light of the current current energy crisis. Every penny raised through Walk for Plunkett will mean Plunkett can continue offering free expert business advice and support so they can continue being lifelines for their own communities.
