Story

Hi everyone,

We're getting together to raise money for The Brain Charity!

Working in social care, we do a lot to support people living with neurological conditions (like dementia and Parkinson’s) and every day we hear about the incredible difference that the right care and support make to the lives of those people. We may not be able to have the same impact as our amazing Carers, but they have inspired us to do as much as we can.

So, we’re fundraising for an awesome charity that supports people living with all forms of neurological conditions to live longer, healthier, happier lives. There are more than 600 conditions affecting the brain, spine and nervous system - known as neurological conditions. The Brain Charity is the only charity in the UK to provide practical help, emotional support and social activities for every single one.

The Tough Mudder is not exactly in our usual comfort zone, but it will be worth it if you can help us meet our £1000 target. Anything you can give will go to a genuinely life-changing cause. If you can’t donate right now, please share our fundraising link and help spread the word.

Thank you so much, your support means so much to us!

What your donation can do:

o £3 gives someone the chance to attend one of The Brain Charity's monthly coffee mornings

o £5 allows someone who is socially isolated to attend a class, workshop or activity to meet others and learn new skills

o £10 funds a lifeline weekly befriending call for someone isolated and lonely

o £50 will cover two life-changing one-to-one counselling sessions for a carer struggling with their mental health

o £100 provides two hours of hospital-based information and advice so The Brain Charity can be there for patients as soon as they are admitted

o £150 could allow someone access to specialist gym equipment in The Brain Charity's Neuro Gym for six months to improve their physical and mental wellbeing
