Story

Having recently been diagnosed with a heart condition, this challenge is going to be a tough one and my biggest yet!

It’s the 200th year of the RNLI in 2024 and I will be running and hiking 200km to raise money for an organisation very close to my heart.

We sadly lost my brother Dan in 2020 and if it wasn’t for an RNLI training boat along with the lifeboat searching for him, we would never have been able to bring Dan home to lay to rest. As a family we cannot thank the RNLI enough for this, which is why I’d like to give back and raise much needed funds for this wonderful charity. The RNLI have a big place in our hearts and we are forever grateful to them for the role they played on such a terrible day.

I will be covering 200km over a series of challenges including the London Marathon 2024.

For the challenges, the plan is to complete:

45.3 KM: Charmouth to Weymouth

London Marathon - April 2024 - 42.2km

42.2 km Portland to Lulworth Cove

42.2 KM Weymouth and surrounding area

42 KM: Weymouth to Bridport

I would love to raise as much as possible for such an important and sometimes forgotten service, who do so much for our local coastal communities, in protecting us and giving us knowledge and education of the sea.I would be so very grateful for any donation, big or small, towards this challenge.

I know it won’t be easy but I’m determined to complete this with a smile in memory of my fabulous, outgoing and larger than life brother Dan, who loved the coast and I’m sure will be backing me all the way for such a worthy cause!

Training has been well underway for a couple of weeks and I’ll be sure to keep you all updated with my progress on here and via social media!

Thank you again for your support, it really means the world to me to do this in Daniel’s memory and for the RNLI.

Ps. If you fancy joining me on any training, let me know! Terri x
