Story
My son, Terrence, was a happy and honorable man. He loved his family. He was a God-fearing man that accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was always very respectful of others, and wanted to constantly take care of others. He had the most beautiful smile. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out, with a HUGE heart.
Although he didn't have any children of his own, he absolutely loved kids. He spent many days mentoring young men about their future. His passion was truck driving, and one day had aspirations of owning his own fleet of trucks and starting a logistics company. I wish we could have seen that.
He was a 6'2" graduate from Loyola High School in Detroit and loved basketball. Unfortunately, his life was cut short intervening in a domestic dispute. I want to start something positive in his name to keep his memory with all of us. I want to keep his name alive and in the same breath help others, something I know he would have wanted, too.
I am starting this fundraising page to help support the children that are in dire need at the Children's Hospital of Michigan, right here in Detroit. Ultimately, these funds will go towards ensuring that children receiving care and treatment at the hospital will have access to musical instruments and a music therapist, time to get messy with an art therapist, keep up with their schooling with a staffed school teacher, and even have time to play with their favorite pet therapy puppy. He would have wanted these kids to have more nights to dream, more days to live, and time to just be kids.
Will you help me make this possible?
