Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I am pushing myself further than ever before by taking on the Thames Path Challenge. I will be walking 100km continuously starting from Putney Bridge, walking all day and through the night, eventually arriving at the Finish Line in Henley on Thames.
I am continuing to raise funds to replace outdated equipment (on the Stroke/Neuro rehab ward where i work) that is vital to support patients recovery during their inpatient stay following a life changing illness/event such as a stroke, traumatic brain or spinal injury or a neuro progressive disease such as MND.
When I see what a fantastic job my colleagues do with each patient, I feel proud that I can do my bit to help them. I have seen patients arrive on our rehab ward from the Acute Hospital on a stretcher, unable to walk, unable to talk, sometimes with feeding tubes in their noses because they cant swallow properly . To see them leave the ward a couple of weeks later without the tubes, some managing to speak and some even showing off and walking out on their own 2 feet makes it all worthwhile.
Please support me in raising those funds to replace the outdated equipment with new improved and advanced equipment that would make such a difference to our patients.

As you may be aware, I had to defer from 2024 challenge due to injury. Monies raised from my previous page will still be received by the charity. Details of the page can be found by clinking on the link below:
