The Teignmouth Lifeboat Station was established in 1851, today its volunteers operate a 24-hour search and rescue service along the south coast of Devon. To do this they rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern station to launch from.

Story

After his very successful May 2023, Stormy Stan will again be walking a Mayday Mile at 12 noon each day in May 2024 from the Teignmouth RNLI Boathouse to the Teignmouth Corinthians Yacht Club at Eastcliff and back to the Boathouse

All welcome to join him on his stroll.

Teignmouth's lifeboat station was established in 1851 and remained open for 89 years before the station was closed in 1940 and its lifeboat was withdrawn. After an absence of 50 years, in 1990 the RNLI reopened with an Atlantic Class Inshore Lifeboat being housed in the original station.

The volunteer lifeboat crew provide a 24-hour search and rescue service 365 days a year, but none of this would be possible without the support of the public and their donations. It costs in the region of £56k a year to run and maintain the service in Teignmouth, all of which comes from the generous donations of the public.

Your donation will help to fund the selfless work of our volunteer lifeboat crew in Teignmouth, by doing so you will be helping to save lives around our coast and will be providing the best equipment possible to ensure the safety of our volunteers.
