Story
1000km (630m), 35,000m (115,000ft) of climbing. 31 days.
I am running the South West Coast Path in a month from 8th May to 8th June to raise money for three amazing charities. Thank you for your support.
The path is the longest and toughest national trail in the UK. I will attempt to ascend the equivalent of Everest 4 times, or basically climb Ben Nevis every day whilst running between 30 and 42km.
I am really happy to be joined along the way by wonderful friends and family. Those of you who know me at a not small 90+kg also know I am not an experienced long distance runner! Training started last April, with a first trail marathon in October, a damaged back in January and a snapped finger tendon in March trying to get my compression socks off!
Every pound you give will be matched by Haddon Coaching up to a total of £25k. I turn 50 this year so the obvious target is to raise £50k. With the team I have chosen the three charities as causes close to our hearts and what we believe in;
This page is for the The South West Coast Path Association- this is the amazing organisation that maintains the path. It also turns 50 this year! We have chosen to support a project at Kynance Cove to make this magical spot more accessible.Please support as generously as you can- and remember every £1 you give will be match funded.
