Story

Update to this page:

This page is now for the Rainbow Race! 🌈

On Sunday 29th September 2024 we will be taking part in Tommy’s Maternal & Fetal Health Research Centre: Rainbow Race. All money raised will go towards helping save babies lives

Sonny died over 6 years ago and this Sunday we will be running in his memory. The little guy, and the rest of us, will be dressed in our rainbow attire & will complete the 1km course.

Our little guy never got to meet his big brother but he talks about him most days. He knows we raise money to help other babies. He loves rainbows and he loves to run.

So we ask you to please sponsor him (remember to not mention his name online) and help him to raise as much money as he can for his big brother.

Much love,

Team SF

On the 27th July 2024, it will be 6 years since our beautiful first born baby boy Sonny was born. This is also the date that he died.

How I wish we were watching him get excited about turning 6, writing invitations for him to give to his friends, letting him choose his favourite cake and celebrating another wonderful year of making magical memories with him... but instead we will celebrate him in the ways we are able, and we hope that you will support us in doing that.

On the weekend of his birthday we will be doing a family walk/bike ride. That is me, Greggles, Mad and the little guy (remember we do not write the little guys name on the web)!

Yes, we have been getting our 3 year old prepared for his 27km challenge, for his big brother. There may be some carrying on shoulders at times, and there will be lots of snacks.

I made many promises to Sonny, and one of these was to always celebrate his birthday in Team SF style... another promise was to ensure his life would make a positive difference to others and that his memory lives on. One of the ways we do this is to raise money to support research into saving babies lives.

All money raised will be going towards the final target of the event I am involved with, Rainbow Race, in September. This money is earmarked for the Maternal and Fetal Health Research Centre in Manchester. This centre is who cared for us when we were pregnant with the little guy, we will be forever thankful for their support.

Please share this far and wide and help us to celebrate our beautiful boy, Sonny, and help save babies lives.

Much love,

Team SF
