Story
Our parents / grandparents, Fred and Lois Rioles, taught us the importance of enjoying family, friends, food,
spending time in nature, daily exercise, and giving back to those in need. Raising money for Upper Valley Haven by running a half marathon seems like a perfect tribute to them and all they taught us over the years. We have been fortunate enough to spend time skiing and hiking in Vermont. We realize that as beautiful as the upper valley is, making a living there year round is not always easy. All of our training and fundraising is for the Upper Valley Haven, the hub for anyone facing poverty in the community. Their mission is to support of the UV community, the Haven assists those who are experiencing poverty to be free from hunger, securely housed, and to pursue a self-directed life. The Haven is open 365 days per year and never charges for any of its services. They serve over 14,500 people per year.
We are excited to be a part of Team Haven! Please help us reach our team goal of $2500.
Sincerely,
Team Rioles
