Story
On 3 November Team Pullen are hitting the streets of New York for the NYC marathon, with the goals of completing the marathon and still be talking to each other at the end! Matt hits a special birthday milestone that weekend and it has always been his dream to celebrate by doing the NY marathon with Fern. Somehow Alison was persuaded to join too and Ellie will be there to cheer the three of us on! We have done the training (and the carb loading) and now we 'just' need to power through 26.2 miles.
Getting through those miles won't always be easy so we hope you will give us a virtual cheer along the way and, if you are able, consider donating to one of our chosen charities, Sarcoma UK and GiveOut. We have organised our places in the marathon via Sports Tours so any money raised goes directly to the charities and the vital work they each do.
Many of you will know that Alison & Matt have been supporting Sarcoma UK for a number of years, in memory of Alison's dad who died from an undiagnosed sarcoma over 27 years ago.
Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting us we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
Thank you for your support.
