Team Maura for Ovarian Cancer Action

Team Maura is raising money for Ovarian Cancer Action
In memory of Maura Muldoon

Belfast Marathon 2025 · 4 May 2025 ·

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Sunday 4 May 15 family and friends will be running in 3 ‘Team Mauras’ in Maura’s memory and to raise funds for her chosen charity, Ovarian Cancer Action.

Maura was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in July 2017 and died in Sept 2021. Like many others Maura was diagnosed at a late stage which greatly reduced opportunities for early intervention in managing this disease.

Maura greatly benefitted from new drug trials which undoubtedly extended her life and gave her, and those she loved, more precious time together. Maura lived her life fully as you can see from the picture of her with Kalua, one of her alpacas!
