Story
Call us crazy, but we've just signed ourselves up to run 26.2 miles in the 2025 London Marathon and we've been lucky enough to be selected to take part and run on behalf of Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity.
Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity exists to fulfil the wishes of children, between the ages of 3-18 in the UK, of any race or gender who are terminally or seriously ill. It also buys equipment for these children and supports the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them. The charity brightens the lives of these children and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, even if it is just for one day. Their work provides a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles.
If we're doing the hard part and running 26.2 miles, all you have to do is the easy bit.... DONATE!
We need to raise £10,000, so what does your donation go towards?
- £50 can buy a sensory toy that will bring joy, calm nerves and improve concentration.
- £100 could help fund a makeover experience for a seriously ill teenager to boost their confidence and restore self esteem.
- £500 could fund a wish for a seriously ill child to travel to London for the day and watch the royal ballet.
These are just a few examples of the wonderful things that Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity do for seriously ill children across the UK.
Rays of Sunshine grant magical wishes, whether a child wants to be a princess or fireman for the day, go to Disneyland Paris, visit Santa in Lapland, own an iPad, meet a favourite celebrity or even a 'real-life' mermaid and you get to help make wishes come true!

Over the next few months, we'll be getting together to throw some fundraising events, in between endurance training and marathon prep work, so keep an eye out for any updates! In the meantime, PLEASE help us make a difference and start donating.
Watching the donations come in will keep us motivated in the long winter nights as we're stomping our way through Bedfordshire on our marathon training plan.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and wish us luck on our journey ahead!
Lots of Love,
Steve, Harvey, Ellis and Luke
