On Saturday the 27th of May, Team Helen will be hiking 35 miles (56km) (!!!) to complete the White Rose Walk from Kilburn to Roseberry Topping!

Our lovely Helen passed away in Teesside Hospice in July 2016 at the age of 41, after a short illness. We always remember Helen with a smile on our faces, she was a wonderful mum to Jack and a precious daughter, sister and friend. Helen was an awful lot of fun, always positive and smiling even through the most difficult times. We have so many happy memories of her.

Since her death, as "Team Helen", we have undertaken many activities to raise funds for Teesside Hospice and have done amazingly well. The hospice gave such wonderful care to Helen, keeping her comfortable and emotionally supported in her final weeks, they also supported the whole family and were incredibly kind and professional to us all.

This year we have decided to hike the White Rose Walk on Saturday 27th May - 35 miles (56 km) from Kilburn to the base of Roseberry Topping - it's an awful long way.... oh yes, and it has a lot of hills! We have been training hard and are ready to take on the challenge (oh yes we are!). We will be joined and supported by family and friends, the importance of a flask of tea at regular intervals cannot be undervalued.

Please think about supporting us, cheering us on or thinking about us as we plod along and up and down the hills for around 14-16 hours!
