My name is Kylee, and I am Fluttering this year to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research. Fluttering will be going on for the entire month of September, so please help me continue this chain and help raise awareness with me! Once we know better, we can do better!

Caleb was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, when he was just 9 years old. After many misdiagnoses, we took him to a bigger hospital to find answers. Caleb's life changed when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Later we discovered it was ph+Like B Cell ALL, which was amore rare and aggressive cancer.

Caleb endured a lot. He spent many days/nights in hospital, had to learn to walk again, and was in coma for a week so his body could try to heal from the toxic chemo he had to have. After getting him into remission, he still had a bone marrow transplant in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent 3 months away from home.

After returning home in May 2018, we were heartbroken to learn that he had relapsed. He kept fighting for awhile after relapsed, then made the decision that he didn’t be stuck in hospital room, he wanted to live with whatever time he had left.

Caleb gained his wings September 10, 2018. He is forever 11. Leaving behind 3 siblings, parents, family and friends who miss him everyday. He touched so many lives and we will forever fight for him and honor him by helping to find a cure for Pediatric Cancer.

Unravel is a 501(c)3 nonprofit working to bridge the gap in funding for pediatric cancer research. With the help of warrior families and their communities, Unravel raises awareness of the need for this research and the funds to support it. Unlike the typical grant funding model, Unravel gives unrestricted funds to innovative pediatric cancer researchers, which removes barriers and accelerates the development of more effective and less toxic treatments for children with cancer.

We are Fluttering this year to raise awareness about childhood cancer, and to help fund pediatric cancer research. Fluttering will be going on for the entire month of September, so please help us continue this chain of community awareness!
