Story
The weekend of Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th October will see Team Spotlight driving 2000 miles non-stop in 48 hours on the Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run.
We have entered three vintage Triumph saloons for the event:
Steve Radley and Dave Maton are entry no.61 in a 1967 Mk1.
Richard Warr & Jason Stanley are entry no.44 in a 1968 Mk1.
Dave Harvey, Steve Watson & Geoff Brown are entry no.94 in a 1973 Mk2.
Our cars will be setting off from Knebworth house around 6pm Friday evening and will drive through the night to reach John O'Groats in Scotland for Breakfast Saturday morning.
We will then head down past Loch Ness, Fort William and Glencoe before hitting the motorway to head for North Wales. Early hours Sunday morning will see us travelling though North, Mid and South Wales before re-entering England at the Severn Bridge and then making our way down to Lands End in Cornwall for another Breakfast stop.
Sunday daytime will take in Bude Castle and Dartmoor plus other controls before heading back to the finish at Knebworth house for a well deserved Sunday evening beer and curry.
Club Triumph have been raising money for charities on this event since 1990 and have raised over £800,000 for various different charities.
This year the chosen charity is the Huntington's disease association.
The Huntington's Disease Association supports anyone who is affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We pursue the best possible care; provide training & advice to families and professionals; raise awareness, and promote research towards better treatment and care.
