Story
May is skin cancer awareness month!
Our wonderful friend Sean Guinness initiated the charity, MyMelanoma, in conjunction with Oxford and Leeds Universities Cancer Research Unit. The aim is to gather data to enable the proper research in to the causes and treatments as well as prevention of this cancer. Please read more about the research here. https://www.mymelanomastudy.org/
Last year we cycled 430km across France and raised over £11,000 for My Melanoma. Thank you to everyone who supported us.
We still need to raise more money for this awesome charity so we’re getting our bikes out again and this year it’s tougher!
As a team of 12 cyclists we are going to cycle almost 450km in four days across the Tuscan hills. It’s a long ride, it’s hilly and it’s going to hurt!
Honestly, most of us would rather have four days soaking in the culture and inhaling the superb Italian cuisine (Nat), but that won’t help raise money for this very important charity or get the message out...Don’t forget the sunscreen! It can help save lives.
So we're saddling up, squeezing into the somewhat unflattering lyrca, rubbing cream on our bums (don't ask) and covering ourselves in suncream for a big ride!
If you can help us spread the message and / or make a small (or big) donation to our cause, we'd be truly grateful. Thank you : )
Ps Thank you to the team at Adventure Cafe UK for organising and supporting our event https://www.adventure-cafe.com/
