Story
Support Dogs train highly skilful assistance dogs to partner with adults and children with life-changing and life-limiting disabilities and medical conditions.
In 2023, Support Dogs dogs provided over 600,000 hours of life saving support. A child with autism who is overwhelmed by the world now has a constant companion. An adult with epilepsy no longer lives in fear of an unexpected epileptic seizure. A person with a physical disability is able to regain their independence and no longer rely on family and friends.
It costs the charity around £26,000 to train a support dog and £2,500 every year to continue their training and support, all of which they provide free of charge.
Mossbrook Primary School, Sheffield, is a specialist setting for children with autism, among other learning needs. At least one of our families has already benefitted from the presence of a canine companion, trained by Support Dogs, for their child. We would love others to experience the life-changing difference these incredible dogs can bring to a child and their family.
Please give as generously as you can to support our fundraising for this wonderful charity.
