Story
I am fundraising because I know the difference DDI makes in the lives of children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. The difference DDI has made in our lives is tremendous. Matthew has come so far since starting at DDI last January. After his accident at 15 months old he regressed a lot. He stopped walking, talking, feeding himself. It's been a long road. Between EI and now DDI, he is speaking more, he knows personal space, he is learning how to regulate himself. He can have small conversations with us. A year ago he barely spoke. We owe so much to DDI and all of their hard work. The dedication of the staff is unlike any other I have seen.
DDI relies on the generosity of donors to provide critical, unfunded needs which range from generators to ensure the safety and comfort of residents, to enrichment activities such as sporting events, visits to museums or amusement parks, arts programs, proms and movie nights; from life skills and vocational training to tablets which serve as a critical means of expression for non-verbal children and adults; from tuition reimbursement and benefits enhancements for DDI's dedicated staff to DDI's own news broadcast, Action News.
Every gift touches the lives of those DDI serves.
Thank you in advance for your support of my walk team and DDI!
