Team Eden (Eden's Mum and Dad and two Uncles, Nick, and Ben) will be running in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival in May to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity.

The Brain Tumour Charity is a cause that is so close to our hearts, as In April 2024, Eden, Bethany and Rhys' then one year old daughter was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour called Ependymoma.

Over her year of treatment, Eden had to endure 2 major brain surgeries, 2 central line surgeries, over 40 general anaesthetics, 33 Rounds of radiotherapy, 4 months of chemotherapy, multiple blood and platelet transfusions and many hospital stays for infections. Through this, Eden showed no end of courage and strength and above all an unwavering love for life, rarely seen without a smile on her face.

Eden has since finished her treatment, so the least we can do to celebrate is to knuckle down as she did and race our hearts out, raising money for an incredibly important cause.

Before Eden's diagnosis, we were blissfully unaware of how devastating a brain tumour diagnosis can be, but having lived through one for the last year, we are determined to raise funds and spread awareness for the work this amazing charity does.

Brain Cancer is listed as 1 of the 6 'less survivable cancers' and the number 1 cancer killer in children and adults under 40, so new research, trials, treatments, and cures really can't wait.
