Skydive in Memory of Ben
Fundraising for The Myton Hospices
Fundraising for The Myton Hospices
This is the last big fundraising I shall be doing for Myton for some time, as I know we have done so much already in Ben's memory and I am mindful of reaching out to our friends and family time and again.
So why this event? Back when Ben and I got married, we decided we would skydive on our honeymoon. It was such an amazing experience to share together and we often talked about it. Ben knew I wanted to do another one, but we never got round to sorting it out, and sadly it is now too late for him to see me take on this challeneg. Hence this seemed like the perfect opportunity, having experienced such quality of care at Myton in Ben's final weeks with us, to do something he wanted me to do whilst raising such vital funds.
I'm full of a mix of excitement and fear, who knew I'm at an age where i now require a medical before I can complete the jump.
I can't believe by the time I jump in June, it will be 3 years since Ben was diagnosed and threw our world upside down. I still wonder what adventures we would have taken together and I'm so sad he won't be on this one with me, but I know for sure, he will be looking down on me, proud as always and making sure my parachute opens!!!
If you feel you can support me, if you can spare just a little, every penny really does make a difference to the exceptional service that The Myton Hospices offer our community, they and I would really appreciate it.
Thank you😊
At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give them more quality time with their loved ones.
Last year we supported more than 1,500 people and their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
