Team Be Nice To People's fundraiser for Race Against Dementia

Fundraising teams include:
APRIL 2024 - Windsor Ultra 10k Walk - Andy Watson, Emma Oettinger, Mark Schofield, Charley Newnham
About our initiative:
That chap up there is Bernard Newnham. Our desire to spread his life motto - "be nice to people" has take on a bit of a life of its own. See www.TeamBeNiceToPeople.org for more details. And, thank you so much for your donations.
We would love you to donate to this brilliant cause. No amount is too small as every penny helps. You may have landed here because you know an amazing team member who is doing something challenging to encourage your donation - we are so grateful to them, and to you, for joining in.
Bernard Newnham was a husband to Pauline, a father to Charley, Ben and Robin, a brother to Stephen, Michael and Caroline, and a friend or colleague or teacher to many others. Outside of family life, he was a BBC television producer, a beekeeper, a light aircraft pilot, a lecturer, and founder of Tech-Ops.co.uk. He was the builder of a cobra car ("just for fun"), organiser of (BBC) Disorganised Lunches, and enjoyed his U3A endeavours. The photo above was taken almost exactly a year before he died aged 76, in August 2023. We are fortunate that dementia was never part of his journey, but 1 in 3 people are likely to die with it so it's a cause we support wholeheartedly.
About the charity:
A new person develops Dementia every 3 seconds. The global cost of dementia care is set to top $2.8trllion a year by 2030. More than 55m people are living with Dementia across the world. Unless a cure is found, 1 in 3 of us will die with Dementia. So let's help them find a cure...
