We work with vulnerable people in London to prevent homelessness and transform lives

Story

Support the Teacher Stern runners this year as they take part in the Santa Run 2023 and raise vital funds for Single Homeless Project.

Single Homeless Project (SHP) are a London-based charity that have been tackling the underlying causes of homelessness for 47 years. They aim to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable and socially excluded people to transform their lives and move into independence. Every year the work they do directly supports 10,000 Londoners who have unfortunately been affected by homelessness.

WATCH: Pat, a former client of SHP who spent years sleeping rough has been voted London's happiest bus driver.

Each day across all 32 London boroughs, SHP staff work with individuals to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness, such as poor mental health or drug and alcohol dependency.

Often that means being there for people at a critical time whether to prevent their eviction or help them off the street; to get them into drug or alcohol treatment or support them with their mental health; or to help them find a job and a flat so that the so that they can take the final steps to living on their own.

Homelessness doesn't define you. It's an experience, not a forever. With your help, we can end homelessness for hundreds of Londoners.

Support the Teacher Stern runners this winter and help tackle homelessness.
