Story
I was due to run in 2020 in memory of my lovely Grandad Mick who died peacefully at the old Fair Havens. As the pandemic hit I deferred my entry, the following year I was pregnant, and have managed to find an excuse every year since ;) This is the year I commit! Plus, I'm now an employee of Havens Hospices and I can see the amazing work they do on the other side.
This year our family is opting to 'live tiny'. As a result, I'm giving up a lot of my 'stuff'; so for my birthday this year I'm requesting donations to spur me on instead.
I'll be running the Southend Half Marathon on Sunday 9th June 2024. Every mile is helping continue ‘Making every day count’ for children and adults with incurable conditions in Essex.
