Tamsin's fundraiser for The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
In 2018, after trying to conceive for a few years, we sadly experienced an Ectopic Pregnancy. At the time, I didn't know anyone who had been through an ectopic pregnancy and it was a lonely and scary time.
I was directed to the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust and reaching out to this charity existed made me feel so much less alone. The support that they provide is invaluable and as a small charity, anything raised will make such a difference to them 💜
Some of you may remember that I was meant to be running the London Marathon for the EPT in 2020 but with just a month or so to go, the race was cancelled due to Covid. I deferred my place for a few years whilst we went through IVF and welcomed our two beautiful boys to the family and am finally getting my running trainers back on for the 2025 marathon!
All the money that I raised last time from sponsorship/raffles and the quiz night (£1,440) all still count to my fundraising target and have been received by the charity.
If you would like to support my cause, or be a running buddy, I would be so grateful!

The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust strives to provide information, education and support to those affected by early pregnancy complications and to the health professionals who care for them. Ectopic pregnancy is a common, life-threatening condition that is the leading cause of maternal death in the first trimester of early pregnancy. The condition affects around 1 in 80 pregnancies in the UK and occurs when an embryo grows outside of the womb. The EPT believes that the deaths and trauma associated with ectopic pregnancy should be prevented. We seek to relieve the distress associated with the experience and provide ongoing support through their treatment and beyond. Please support our passionate runners who will be training hard to pound the streets of London raising crucial funds and awareness for ectopic pregnancies.
