Story

Dear family and friends,

I hope you are all keeping well. It's that time of the year again. The last couple of years many of you kindly and generously supported the Tailor family (Ashwin, Ramila, Amit & Anisha) when we took part in the month long Surya Namaskars challenges to raise funds for the MUKTI charity providing much needed help for the disadvantaged children at several homes in India as well as charities for the homeless in UK.

This year we are holding a sponsored "Garbathon" on 14th October in Reading. Garba is a traditional circle dance from the Gujarat area of India performed to live musicians and singers. There will be a maximum of 25 dances for which participants will be sponsored.

The Tailor family will either be singing, dancing or playing a percussion instrument and we humbly request you to support us with donations as generously as you have always done.

To date MUKTI has raised nearly £700,000 over the years. No other yoga organisation has raised this level of funding for disadvantaged people. This is our way of showing that Yoga goes beyond the confines of our mats. No one is paid for this work -- we all do it for the love of it.

The MUKTI Project was established by the Traditional Yoga Association with the support of Garuda Studio, London, to raise funds for street children in India. We also help charities for the homeless in the UK. Everyone who works for MUKTI is a volunteer and none of the funds raised goes to salaries.
