Story

Ryleigh, 13 years old, and I will be climbing Mount Snowdon on 29th July. This will be in memory of his dad, who he sadly lost to brain cancer when he was 6 years old. We will be raising money for Halo Children's Foundation, who have supported us through our bereavement.

Halo Children's Foundation offers crucial resources such as bereavement support, referrals and peer group support. They provide families with opportunities to create new memories through days out, parties, gifts, and much more. They do not ask for anything in return. Without Halo, I do not know how I would have coped, especially during the first year after my husband's passing.

Therefore, we want to give something back to this amazing charity so they can continue to support other bereaved families as they did for mine.

About the charity

Halo Children's Foundation supports children and their families with bereavement support after the loss of a loved one. We hold a monthly Expressive Arts & Play session for children & our aim is to open a bereavement centre to provide ongoing counselling, behaviour management & therapy to families
