Story
We are raising money for my amazing dad, who sadly passed away this year after being diagnosed with lewy body dementia. He spent 5 years bravely battling this condition. He was the most caring, sensitive and loving man and is sadly missed by us all.
There are 8 family and friends taking on the challenge of 10 mountains in the lake district in one day (16th sept) Dad loved walking and the great outdoors, and we have many happy memories and holidays spending time in the lakes. He was always keen to complete some of the wainwright walks, but unfortunately we never got chance, so this seems a fitting tribute.
The Lewy Body Society was founded in 2006 to support research into Lewy body dementia and to raise awareness of the disease. They aim to educate the public, the medical professions and those in decision-making positions about the disease, which unfortunately is still not well known.
