Making Waves for a Cure: Swim Queens Swimathon 2024 Fundraising
We're diving into action because every stroke brings us closer to a cure.
Team members: Amira, Carla, Charlotte, Ebony, Jade, Josephine, Kim, Nadine, Niki, Rhonda, Robyn, Sarayah, Shola, Toyin & Vanessa 💫
🏊♀️ Each with our own story, we’ve found strength, camaraderie and purpose through a shared passion for swimming and a desire to make a difference. As a team, we've set our sights on a unique challenge—collectively swimming the distance of 21 kilometres!
🏊♀️ With each stroke, we’re making waves that extend far beyond the pool, breaking barriers in the fight against cancer.
🏊♀️ Glide with us through each lap, as we light the way for everyone navigating the shadows of illness, embodying the strength that arises when women come together for a shared purpose.
🏊♀️ Join our journey as we swim not just for ourselves, but for the countless lives affected by cancer’s grip. Your donation is a grateful drop in our pool of hope, resilience and progress.
🏊♀️ Together, let's make a splash for a brighter, healthier future—one stroke at a time.
🙏 With heartfelt thanks,
Your Swim Queens 🩵
Cancer Research UK is the largest charitable funder of cancer research in the world and will stay at the forefront of the global fight against cancer. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer. All of us can support the research that will beat it. Marie Curie is here for people with any terminal illness, and those close to them from diagnosis to bereavement. Our nurses and healthcare assistants support families directly across the UK. Our free support line can help with any question about end of life. And we campaign for structural change and fund vital research that improves end of life for everyone. On 26-28 April, thousands of swimmers will be heading to over 400 pools across the UK to raise money for our two amazing charity partners. Together we can really make a difference. We invite our swimmers to tell their story to help spread awareness and raise vital funds for these two incredible causes.
