All children deserve a holiday, time to play, create memories and feel free, but when life is difficult at home, a holiday becomes much more significant. The St Vincent de Paul Society has provided fun, safe holidays for children from a variety of backgrounds at the delightful Holy Island Camp since 1954.

Holy Island Camp hosts six weeks of memorable one-week getaways for up to 400 children aged 9 to 12; that’s 400 lives enhanced, 400 children with fond memories of carefree time with other children.

Holy Island Camp is staffed entirely by dedicated, highly trained volunteers, many of whom enjoyed a great holiday at the camp as a young person themselves.

Holidays at Holy Island Camp provide memories children will treasure fondly for the rest of their lives, and parents, guardians and carers can relax in the knowledge that their children are in a safe and caring environment.

The six-week programme at Holy Island Camp costs £48,000 to run, but without financial support, it wouldn’t be possible to give children a week of carefree fun. Essential infrastructure work is also needed to maintain the safe and secure running of the camp.
