Story
As the adoptive mum of twins who have both recently been confirmed to have FASD, I have been shocked and saddened at how little awareness there is amongst professionals who work with these children. My aim is to raise money in the hope it will help improve training amongst educators regarding FASD. I am a trained florist and this year began growing my own flowers which I sold as Jars of Joy at our local village shop which raised over £400🩷
Now the flowers have finished I've turned my attention to my other passion - sewing! I am selling handmade gifts. All moneys raised will be donated to National Organisation For FASD.
Please Visit my Instagram page @VioletHopeGifts to see my creations and message me there if anything catches your eye ❤️
FASD affects more people in the UK than autism, yet is completely preventable as well as widely misunderstood and undiagnosed. Our mission is to change that.
Through persistent efforts to increase FASD awareness, education, and support, we hope to ensure that every person living with FASD in the UK has the diagnosis and lifelong support they need.
We also hope to ensure that, through increased education around the risks of alcohol consumption during pregnancy, FASD is prevented at every possible opportunity.
