Urgent Appeal to Save the Roof of Historic St Collen’s Church

We are reaching out to you with an urgent plea to help us save the medieval roof of St Collen’s Church in Llangollen. This historic church, nestled in the heart of Denbighshire, North Wales, is a cherished treasure with a magnificent 16th-century hammer-beam roof—a masterpiece of craftsmanship that has stood the test of time.

Today, this architectural gem, admired by visitors from across the globe, faces a critical moment. The roof, an irreplaceable piece of Welsh history, is at serious risk of decay. Despite its cultural and historical importance, we have been informed by Cadw, the Welsh Government’s historic environment service, that they are unable to provide funding for its conservation.
