The Big Sleep Out is CCP's headline campaign, aiming to raise £100,000. We use that £100,000 to create a hardship fund, offering personalised grants to make a real impact in people's lives.

Story

Suzanne & Angela from C2S

We have had our arms twisted again to sleep out but this time as well as raising money to support hardship grants, we aim to fund and install two 'Chelpods' to provide secure and warm emergency accommodation for street homeless people in Cheltenham. The idea is to provide enough pods and then fundraise and find locations for 'Chelpads' which will provide secure temporary accommodation prior to permanent housing solutions.

The CCP hardship fund, which makes a direct impact changing lives will also receive funds. The fund provides personalised grants to tackle immediate financial challenges, helping individuals and families to thrive again. Example uses of the grant include covering food bank membership costs, paying rent arrears, paying travel costs, and preventing eviction, which all contribute to a reduction in homelessness and poverty. From there, CCP's long-term support teams can help people get back on track, back into work, and thriving once more.
