We offer transformational school bursaries to widen access to private education

Story

Highfield and Brookham School is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Through its successful Centenary Bursaries Fund, they offer life-changing educational opportunities to deserving children from families whose financial situation makes a private school education unreachable.

Since 2007, the Fund has transformed the loves of 22 children, six of which are currently thriving in the school community today. These children have been provided with exceptional academic and pastoral support, setting them on a path to success.

“I am forever grateful to the donors who make the bursaries possible, as so many other children’s lives are being changed through campaigns like this”

Millie Alli, Bursary Award Holder (2018-2021)

The key to achieving the goal of transforming children’s lives, is attracting applications from families across the socio-economic spectrum. The charity achieve this through partnering with various organisations and charities, locally and nationally, that support children from disadvantage backgrounds. These partnerships help them identify children who would benefit most academically, personally, and in their future prospects from a Highfield and Brookham education.

“At 20 I don’t yet know all the ways the Highfield Bursary has impacted my life, it’s effects are ongoing. My bursary has impacted my life forever. In years to come I plan and hope to be in the position of making my own donations to the Bursaries Fund. To me that would be success.”

Joey Green, Bursary Award Holder (2015-2017)

The Highfield School Centenary Bursaries Fund is a registered charity and exists for the sole purpose of supporting children through bursaries. If Highfield School are to continue and even extend this level of support they need your support to build the fund, with a medium-term goal of reaching £2million. Every donation truly makes a difference and we hope you feel motivated to do so.

About the charity

For our centenary celebrations in 2007, Highfield created an award scheme offering funded school places for children who would draw exceptional benefit from joining Highfield and Brookham Schools. The aim is to widen access to children for whom a private education is likely to transform their lives.
